Jim Garman has always been a detail oriented person. In fact, he majored in accounting as an undergrad at the University of Maryland, and he spent most of his career working as a space and facilities coordinator for the federal government. He’s the kind of person who enjoys making sure every piece of a project comes together just right. He prides himself in creating the most beautiful, well-built homes in the Low Country for the best value possible.

Education has always been a priority for Jim, and he constantly attends courses about topics relating to his field. In addition, he has a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Central Michigan University.
Involved
Jim believes in giving back to his community, and he uses his knowledge of the building profession to do so. He has served on the Beaufort County School Districts’ Facilities Oversight Committee, and was the chair of that committee in 2009-2010. This was a volunteer position in which the members helped to coordinate new construction of five schools in Beaufort County, as well as many renovations both large and small.
In addition, he is an active member of the Hilton Head Area Homebuilders Association, South Carolina Homebuilders Association, and National Homebuilders Association. These organizations allow him to give back to the community through their charitable programs. Also, these organizations inform him of the most recent changes in his industry.
He is the Past President of Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association, and he currently sits on:
